# Lists and tables

### Lists

Lists can be inserted following the same process you'd use for word-processing applications. Select the items and click the **Unordered** or **Ordered** list buttons.

Additionally you can increase or decrease the **indent** of the lists using buttons in the toolbar, or by using the tab key while editing.

### Tables

Clicking the Table icon in the toolbar allows you to quickly insert a table up to 10x10.

Once the table has been added, you can click anywhere in the table to access additional tools. These include adding header rows and columns, as well as inserting or deleting rows and columns, and merging cells.

{% hint style="info" %}
Tables should **ONLY** be used to display tabular data. Do **NOT** use tables as a substitute for a grid layout for text content.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://salsa-digital.gitbook.io/govcms-content-administration/rich-text-editing-with-ckeditor-5/lists-and-tables.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
